What is Virtual Assistant ?

Virtual Assistant (VA) is a person or a group of persons who posses administrative and managerial skill, who work independently (usually at home) to provide administration and business assistance services for both business people or organizations, and personals. The demand of VA's services has been increasing lately along with the increasing numbers of small businesses, self-owned businesses, and... of course...internet businesses. The high salary level of secretary and the increasing amount of employee turn-over are only few points need to be concerned by many business owners nowadays. Not mentioning the higher cost of office building and office maintenance.

At that point, VA appears to be the best solution for business owners who want to have more time and energy for developing their business. By using VA services, business owners can delegate daily business operations, such as appointment making, telephone calls handling, reports, travel arrangements to exhibition handling into the hand of professional VA. That way, he can dedicate himself more to his business planning and concept.

What services provided by VA?

The range of services by each VA could be different, but the basic ones are including :
- letters or document typing
- reports
- presentation
- telephone calls and e-mail handling
- personal agenda (including reminder)
- brochure/flyers distribution
- appointment making
- etc

VA are usually professionals who had worked previously as secretary but decided to work on their own after marriage and child birth, or just want to be independent by building her own business. That's why VAs are competent to accomplish the duties given by their clients. Although when she had more than one client, she can manage her time to bring satisfaction to all the clients. Discipline and dedication are the most characters every VA should have.

How about confidentiality ?

As a secretary, VA has been familiar with confidentiality. In running the business, VA always commits to keep all her clients data and business in confidential manner.
